The men's 2s played Saffron Walden on not the best pitch after a long winding 2 hour drive. We had a strong team especially after welcoming Archie Casey.

Both teams started well however Berko conceded a sloppy goal within the first 15 mins. Unfortunately Gary had to go off early on and Rog P never came on, meaning we were a bare 11!
Once again Berko conceded another sloppy goal with a Walden player hitting right into the corner no keeper could've saved that. Tom Villa then had a super deflection disallowed.
At half time Berko were rightfully optimistic as despite being 2-0 down had played well and certainly weren't out of it.
Berko had a couple of short corners which weren't bad making the Walden keeper pull out some good saves.
After a poor clearance from the Berko defence Walden capitalised and some short quick passing got their third.
However Berkos heads never dropped, Oli Johnson them scored with a nice flick from a short corner.
Berko kept going but the score stayed the same and ended 3-1 in a very windy game in the middle of nowhere.

Man of the match was Dom Peachey who had a great game, stepping in front of their forwards to intercept many through balls.
Nick Prowse also had a great game and we could've conceded more without him.
