The Men's 5s started slowly in this match and ceded a lot of possession to S&S but solid defence led by Pete Kuipers and Ian Odell meant that no clear cut chances came their way.

Berkhamsted were restricted to a few break outs but from one such Dave Gardener worked his way into a shooting position and Jackson Stuart was on hand to turn the ball in at the far post. The game continued for the rest of the half in a similar fashion but Terry Wintle did make one good save. The half time team talk clearly worked this time as Berkhamsted were stronger in the second half and from a short corner taken by Rhys Hanling, Alex Gilmore scored. Rhys then went off injured and so did Pete Kuipers but Berkhamsted had substitutes and retained their organisation. A neat move involving Alex Winwright and Simon Barron led to Brian de Mattos shooting against the keepers pads and a defender then blocked his attempted follow up leading to another short and another goal from Alex Gilmore. As this worked so well another short corner from Brian de Mattos was converted by Alex for his hat trick.
Alex was awarded man of the match for his hat trick, but their were fine performances from the defence including John Baxter and John King which meant Terry did not have a touch in the second half.
