With a warm welcome to new players and return of some familiar faces, the game started pretty much the same way it ended, with Berko in firm control of the pitch.

Simon Webb and Ed Goodwyn controlled the half line giving the forwards the chances to make repeated driving runs into the oppo’s D, putting pressure on the Broxbourne defence. The first goal came from a solid strike by Waleed.
The pressure in the D forced errors from Broxbourne who conceded a number of short corners. A slip to the left on the injection and a goal line scramble saw Edwards slotting it home, a rare goal for the seasoned veteran.
In the second half there was more of the same control and pressure, which saw two more cracking goals from Waleed. A very welcome win for the 3’s setting us up nicely for a rematch against Southgate Adelaide 1 next week.
