Berkhamsted Men's 1st team welcomed Wapping HC to a very blustery and autumnal RAF Halton.

With confidence high from last weeks deserved win Berkhamsted started with a high tempo and should have been leading by several goals to nil within the first 15 minutes but the slick passing demonstrated across the back and midfield went amiss when entries to the Wapping D were made.
All square at half time the word being used was composure, more composure in front of the sticks and the goals would come.
Berkhamsted began the second half with the same domineering mindset and piled the pressure onto Wapping and were awarded a penalty corner, a variation saw Ben drag the ball into the bottom left hand corner to break the deadlock. Wapping rallied and the match became a little more even but Berkhamsted's defence remained solid and a break away from our strikers saw Pete shoot at goal the ball hitting the foot of a Wapping defender and loop over the head of the goalkeeper. The goal was awarded and Berkhamsted saw out the remaining ten minutes without incident.
A great result and a dominant performance from the team and a deserved three points.
