Before we started our final game of the year, we discussed how we had never beaten Harpenden, but had only ever drawn against them in the previous three matches, so we all knew this would be a tough match.

The Mens 4’s went into the match against Stevenage 4’s, buoyant from back to back victories against promotion rivals West Herts and St Albans. So everyone felt confident, perhaps over-confident? about a fixture against a side struggling to avoid relegation and who had no substitutes.
