Berkhamsted 4th XI gained a deserved 3-0 win against St Albans following a superb team effort. The opening period saw both teams have good chances with Berko keeper Brett Kelly in good form keeping St Albans out.

An early start meant a welcome return of Jamie Holderness being used as sweeper, his reach and style was excellent and once all those leaves were off the pitch, he retook his seat in the stands to cheer on Berkhamsteds elite.

After a first quick goal to the opposition. We finally found our footing and began to play our game.

With Stevenage kindly waiting for us to achieve our full compliment of 11, we decided it would be nice to let them have much of the early play.

So a chilly afternoon game against West Herts 6’s who sit just above us in the league. Win and we go above them. No pressure then.
