Minutes of the 2024 AGM are now available

We had a quorum
- BHHHC Secretary

Thank you to all the BHHHC Members who joined the AGM on 29th June 2024 in person or online – apologies if this date and time did not allow you to participate. The Exec was delighted that holding the AGM on a Saturday and facilitating online participation allowed us to achieve quorum for the first time in a few years (a lesson learned that we can repeat in future years).

Thank you to all our 2023/2024 Officers and Working Group members for all their work to make our 2023/24 season such a success (hockey/social/commercial) for all our adult and youth members. And thanks to all our members that have volunteered for roles as officers or working group members for our 2024/2025 season – they now carry the baton for continual improvement of all the various things we wish to do as a club. Our AGM Recruitment Pathway communications and AGM slide pack helped attendees be well informed for the AGM meeting – there were many thoughtful questions which I think the Exec was able to answer.

We still have some BHHHC Role vacancies that need to be filled (see Roles List below). Most notably Health & Safety Advisor. If you would be interested to volunteer for any of the remaining vacant roles please contact Paul Dubenski or Roger Mackin. We will be happy to explain what the role involves and link you up with someone that has done the role before.

The following documents are on the website:

BHHHC Ltd Officer/Working Group Roles and Role Summary document (these latest changes will be incorporated into the web site Club Structure page).

Please note Roger Macklin has volunteered to lead a BHHHC 125th Anniversary Working Group and needs some people to volunteer to join him (Roger’s rightly thinking not only about how we can celebrate our 125th year as a hockey club in 2028 but what projects, such as sustainability initiatives, we could initiate in the coming years for delivery in 2028 for the benefit of the club, the local community and the environment).

I hope all adult and youth members recognise the amazing club and facilities we have inherited from our predecessors and are excited by the opportunities we have (such as Padel and Temporary Grass Car Park) for continual improvement and development of hockey and our hockey club into the future.

Thanking you in advance for your continued support for the Exec and our officers for the 2024/2025 season.
