Braving the elements, Berkhamsted faced off with Maidenhead and were narrowly defeated 2-1 in a hard-fought away fixture that saw the hosts take all three points. Berko’s moment in the sun (or pouring rain) came after a scrappy bit of play in front of the goal, with the final touch into the net coming from Mo. Maidenhead came back strong, scoring on a PC. The opposition’s second came in the second half, after 2 attackers were left wide open on the top of the D, possibly as a result of the questionable new formation from the skipper, possibly as a result of the strong Maidenhead counter attack (who knows, but as always Cooper is wrong). Despite a spirited effort from Berkhamsted, including a standout display from MoM Paul Kraft, Maidenhead capitalized on their chances to secure the win.
