Summary of Roles

Chair

• Expected to also be Exec Director (Hockey) (Role Summary described separately).
• Leads the Hockey Committee and the arrangements for the hockey season.
• Works closely with and across all aspects of the hockey club to deliver continuous improvement of: training, match days, summer hockey, tournaments, hockey experience etc.
• Manages paid training and coaching support.
• Maintains EH sports insurance.

Secretary

• Supports the Hockey Chair to deliver the seasons activities.
• Records meetings.
• Keeps records and information up to date with England Hockey Records and other key bodies.

Treasurer

• Prepares and manages the hockey budget, income and expenditure.
• Provides monthly financial reports and information for meetings.

Ladies' Club Captain

• Represents Ladies Members interests in development of ladies hockey at the club.
• Coordinates the selection and the arrangements for hockey games over the season.
• Liaison with other clubs and direction of training, etc.
• Leads any disciplinary procedures.

Men's Club Captain

• Represents Men's Members interests in development of men's hockey at the club.
• Coordinates the selection and the arrangements for hockey games over the season.
• Liaison with other clubs and direction of training, etc.
• Leads any disciplinary procedures.

Youth Coordinator

• Represents Youth Members and youth training volunteers.
• Manages paid training and coaching support.
• Coordinates youth training, leagues/matches, tournaments and schools hockey programme.
